Install app on iPhone and (IAP) in app purchases setup
Before you install Alperton on your iPhone, you should make sure :
- your internet connection is working (wifi, or 4G/3G etc)
- your Location Services are turned On for your phone (like image below)
- your in app purchase (IAP) are not turned off ( https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204396 )
You get into this mode - the default mode - after you have installed and run for the first time on a given device. After you have chosen "Allow While Using App" in the permission to access your location dialog,
you will get data to flow in. [approximately 1 day operation, included requests: 10 (per iphone/ipad) and 25 (for watch)] . Useful for confirming the device specific compatibility, and a first look at the app. The mode will be confirmed in the messages box with text 'INTRo period', see picture below:
3 Day Free TrialStandard (In App Purchase) IAP 3 day free trial period. Gives access to the Alperton app and the weather data for 3 days. note: if not sure you want to subscribe for a year, make sure you cancel the auto renewal at least 24 hours before the free trial's expiry date&time. If you know you want to keep it, then it will auto subscribe for 1 year, do not need to do anything. If you cancel, you can still access the rest of the free trial, because you just cancelling the auto renewal, not the free trial. If you cancelled the IAP's auto renewal, but at the end of the free trail or later you want to get the app, you are still able to do so, [get the latest app again and] just tap "Subscribe for --.-- / year" when you ready (free trial won't be available again).
When your INTRo period is exhausted, you will be prompted to subscribe, see picture below.
If it is the first time you subscribe for Alperton app, per your Apple Id, then you are eligible for a 3 Day Free Trial.
You will have to subscribe as per 1 Year Yearly Subscription (as IAP - In App Purchase) and the Free Trial will be granted first, as folowing confirmation dialogs will show. Can start using the system immediately
You can subscribe form any one of your iphone/ipad devices (but not from the watch, currently). ** when you have subscribed from one of the devices, then on installing the other devices, or after re-installs, you only need to tap 'Restore' button - see pic below; (standard iOS practice)
The watch app will try to auto-restore. You may also click watch app's 'Restore' button just to make sure; you might need to do this at each period's end - be it the free trail period or a 1 year subscriptionnote: if you had the free trial before (returning customer, lapsed subscription, re-intallation), you will not be eligible for the Free Trial. If you are not sure, tap the 'Subscribe for --.-- / year' button, and please pay attention to the Apple supplied confirmation dialogs, see if Free Trial is being offered or not in your specific case.
The price '-,--' will be displayed accordingly, in localised currency;
In the process, you may be asked - a system dialog - if you allow Alperton app to access your location, please select: 'Allow While Using App'.
if you missed the dialog, you will be prompted again by Alperton when necessary, with a message and steps similar to :
"Location Denied! "On your Phone's Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services. Scroll to find 'alperton app'. Allow Access 'While Using the App'"
Should weather data does not load automatically when install is finished, you may need to push the red bottom right download button manually. "

Install app on Apple Watch
The installation of you watch app will happen seamlessly, no user intervention necessary, as soon as the iphone app has been successfully installed.
Pls note message : "Your iphone Location Services settings also apply to your Apple watch".
If you ever need to do it yourself, to install the app on your watch via your phone, apply the standard procedure:
"1. Open the Watch app, then tap the My Watch tab.
2. Scroll to the app that you want to add or remove. Apps that you already installed appear in the Installed on Apple Watch section. Apps that you can install appear in the Available Apps section.
3. To add an app, tap Install.
4. To remove an app, tap it, then turn off Show App on Apple Watch." - from Apple source
note: Installing on your watch is not enough to run the app. You need to also Register Watch with your iphone Register your watch in 3 easy steps!
